If you'll be using insurance for session fees, please check with your insurance company or human resources department to confirm that "Counselling Therapy" services provided by a "Registered Counselling Therapist" or "Canadian Certified Counsellor" are covered by your plan.
To help you find out what insurance coverage you have for counselling therapy, I suggest asking the following questions when you speak with your insurance provider or human resources department:

-
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
-
Does my health insurance cover "Counselling Therapy" provided by a "Registered Counselling Therapist" or "Canadian Certified Counsellor?"
-
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
-
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
-
Do I need written approval (prescription) from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
