Direct Billing
Direct billing for some Medavie Blue Cross and Green Shield Canada policies is available. For providers and policies we're unable to direct bill, we provide receipts you need to be reimbursed by your insurance company.

If you'll be using insurance for session fees, please check with your insurance company or human resources department to confirm that "Counselling Therapy" services provided by a "Registered Counselling Therapist" or "Canadian Certified Counsellor" are covered by your plan.
To help you find out what insurance coverage you have for counselling therapy, we suggest asking the following questions when you speak with your insurance provider or human resources department:

-
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
-
Does my health insurance cover "Counselling Therapy" provided by a "Registered Counselling Therapist" or "Canadian Certified Counsellor?"
-
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
-
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
-
Do I need written approval (prescription) from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
